Kristof Titeca will show photos and present his latest book, Rebel Lives: Photographs from inside the Lord’s Resistance Army (Hannibal Press, 2019).
Kristof Titeca is Associate Professor at the Institute of Development Policy, University of Antwerp. He has worked on the dynamics of governance and conflict in Uganda and the Congo for the last 15 years, with extensive field research on the Lord’s Resistance Army. Kristof has acted as an expert witness at the International Criminal Court.
He will be joined by Sverker Finnström, anthropologist at Uppsala University and member of Engaging Vulnerability’s Advisory Board. Finnström has conducted fieldwork in war-torn northern Uganda since 1997, most recently in 2019. Just as Titeca, Finnström has published extensively on Uganda and the Lord’s Resistance Army, and he too has acted as an expert to the International Criminal Court.
This is an arrangement jointly organized by the Engaging Vulnerability program and Forum for Africa Studies, both of Uppsala University.
